If your employer or a corresponding party has ordered the Virtavalmennus service for your use, we process your email address received from the party referred to above in order to send a registration message concerning the initial use of the service.

When you enroll as a student or subscriber (“learner”) on our site or related courses, as part of the enrolling process, we collect the following personal information you give us:

We will send you emails about your courses new content, your course progress or other updates. We may also use your email to inform you about changes to the course, survey you about your usage, or collect your opinion.

We do not use your information for any kind of marketing.

We retain your personal data for as long as you have an account in the Virtavalmennus service. The time that you have your account available is decided in the contract with your employer or a corresponding party.

After this, personal data is irreversibly anonymised by compiling statistics and/or by removing all identification data. Anonymous (not possible to identify individuals) data is utilised for research and statistical purposes.

As a data subject, you have the right to check the data stored in the personal data file concerning you and demand that inaccurate, outdated or unlawful data be rectified or erased. In so far as you have personal access to your data, you can modify the data yourself.

For processing based on consent, you also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Please note that a withdrawal of consent has no effect on the lawfulness of any processing that took place before consent was withdrawn.

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

Our course and site is hosted by Thinkific Labs Inc. (“Thinkific”). They provide us with the online course creation platform that allow us to provide our product/services to you.

Your data is stored through Thinkific’s data storage, databases and the general Thinkific application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Once you leave our course website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

When you click on links on our course site, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

Only our employees who are authorised to process customer data as part of their work duties have the right to use the system containing personal data.
